Barcelona: Museums, excursions and activities

Barcelona is a modern city, vibrant, full of life and in constant movement, with many cultural and leisure options with museums, art galleries and outdoor shows.

Barcelona’s personality is reflected in its spectacular architecture: notably, the works of Antoni Gaudí, such as the Sagrada Familia, and other impressive monuments such as Arc de Triomf (Triumph’s Arch) by Josep Vilaseca.

In order to fully experience the local life, it is best to get lost in Passeig de Gracia, a shopping street with many exclusive shops, or wander around the Gothic Quarter and Born district, where the narrow medieval alleys are full of boutiques by local designers and a vast collection of restaurants.

Do not forget the sea, the Barceloneta beach and the harbour –ambassadors of the Mediterranean style of the city. Do not miss the parks and open air spaces such as Park Güell, Ciutadella Park or Tibidabo.

Besides, Barcelona’s privileged location is a great advantage, as it is close to such famous places as the Dalí Theater-Museum in Figueres, among others.
